Maybe because esplanade is artsy place, and there's this poetic feel to it, that even the library feels romantic. the esplanade libray is a great place for couples to spend "romeo n juliet" time there.
I was jus walking dwn the shelves of books when this word on this particular book caught my eye. Make a guess. It's Beatles, titled, Chronicles of Beatles. it records the beginning of Beatles career, Beatle mania, till the end of them.
due to the lack of time, I only managed to read a few pages and skimmed through the rest. I wonder how will it feel if i;m living in US of A or Britain during the height of Beatlesmania. I bet it will feel so surreal. They were practically treated as some human god. It's just so crazy how these four guys can make so many people, young, old, male or female, go so gaga over them, not only that era, but generations that followed. Mobs of fans chased after them wherever they go, and needless to say, they reign over the fans like sovereign kings.
True, the fascination about them has dwindled over the years, but they had become a legend. Their songs are legends themselves. Even in today's context, u might still see beat'es alive in some area. For eg, I once saw this article, titled, "give peace a chance". I yet seen another band so successful, one that is beyond top charts. Beatles: A phenomenon ,they are. No doubt about that.
One day, im going back to find more books about beatles, i spot shelves littered with books on the Beatles. Chronicles of Beatles~how aptly named.
