i have two sentences to start off the post today.
1. how does it feel like living in the lighted end of a cigarette stick
2. anyone wants a burnt turkey for this Christmas?
despite hours (ok, around 30 over hours) away from the first paper of sem2, MST, i spent my day out with guidey gang to carry out sabrina's much overdued 18 birthday celebration. honestly, sabrina totally claimed the prize of being the most dirty and most taunted 18 birthday girl i ever know. that's the price of not celebrating on the actual day itself, when you'll be treated as royalty. it's just this thing about celebrating your birthday on actual day.
the sun, the main culprit that caused my present misery now. i, for one, welcome the tan, IF the tan spreads evenly, but this tan/burnt that i received today, is a far cry from being even. and sunburnt, as everyone know, makes me way cranky, grumpy and sleepy.
what was it that i did to earn this tan/burnt? nothing but the usual, Frisbee-d, volleyball, picnic ( prepared by yushu and hoonie), and soaking in the semi-polluted waters off the shorelines of Palawan beach. nothing really aliened to beach goers. Oh, let's throw in, playing blind mice, leading the birthday girl into the water, somehow on her own accord, and building a specially sand-made birthday cake, which got trampled over by the birthday girl herself when she freaked out, and being blindfolded as she came just made her even more stupendous.
after a whole day of sun, sweat, and sand, we went to play luge. and i just love the shocked and surprised looks on the first timers faces when they sat the skyrider. cheap thrill i must say. luge is luge for me though. i mean you can expect anything more from a person who sat the luge at least thrice, just this year alone.
speaking of surprises, the ride did not end at Sentosa. we were dining in sushi tei, when we heard, fireworks, drowning yushu's voice, thankfully. she had been talking non-stop since she joined us at the beach in the afternoon. i swear, this's the longest and most beautiful fireworks i ever seen, and im really really glad, im in an air conditioned place where i don't have to squeeze with the rest of the sweaty crowd. and i'll say, our table had the best view to the fireworks.
it's definitely a super duper uber memorable 18 birthday celebration sabby, and we're glad we spent it with you! love you sweetheart!
siowqin, i want pictures!
