it's the post holiday syndrome.
i hate to wait for the photos to upload, and there's too many pictures to load or put them into collages. that's why i like online photo album and that's why i still have my Multiply account!
:D
i wish i did more there, like parasailing and braiding my hair like what my sister did. but i busy going for flying fish. and since im on a tour with itinerary, it sucks to make people wait for you. people who doesn't know how to enjoy and grumble about not having fun.
just a brief brief summary

we took SQ flight from Singapore to Bali, and man, don't you just love SIA? the flight was way smooth and the inflight entertainment is pretty updated and they have a wide range of varieties you can choose from. heh. advertising for SIA. not that they need it.
we had dinner at JIMBARAN beach, the sunset view was spectacular, even with the monsoon season, and you can't really see the sun setting. dinner was fantastic too, with the seemingly endless supply of prawns, fish, sotong, clams and coconut! well, don't be mislead by the 5 stars rating they showed on their website. it barely passed 3 stars. okay, maybe 4 thanks to its spa.

we visited a live volcano, which i didn't bother remembering the name, went for lunch at this restaurant that had a lot of food and a lot of houseflies. one thing that spoils the trip was the houseflies that seems to multiply even after we killed them. oh yea, they are way easy to kill as compared to Singapore's flies. i gues Singapore flies are as quick and efficient as the people here, and likewise for those at Bali. sis and me turned into professional flies-killer after they irritate us for the whole bus trip on the second day. second day was the shopping day too. we went to ubad, pronounced as ooh-boot, and man, the shops there are way attas! maybe it's because of the Caucasians who live there. the pubs and shops there are the kind of places i will love to check out every weekend. it feels like a bigger dempsey actually.
headed back to hotel after dinner, and went out again for aromatic oil massage therapy at Valentino's. this is the real catch of the whole trip, besides the shopping. and it's really cheap.

the seasports day. but sadly, the beach ain't as pretty as bintan. the charges though, are lesser than those at bintan. due to time limit, we boarded this glass bottom boat that ferried as over to an island where we can see the sea turtles and some other native animals, den went back to main land and tried on flying fish. it's a little like banana boat cum parasailing. there's this boat that pull the flying fish raft, where two people lie on it, with their faces facing the sun. the boat will go fast enough for the raft to fly up into the air, and the people in the raft could see the scenery from top view. pretty neat. too bad parasailing wasn't available that day, if not i will love to try it out.
after that, more shopping, dinner, hotel and hard rock cafe. hard rock was real cool though. the live band was amazing, and the place itself looks very spiffy. the drinks suck though. went with the adults, and as much as i appreciate their willingness to join us and made an effort to do so, i wish i went with friends instead. people who will talk nonsense with me over the loud music and sing the songs with me. sisters just ain't enough.

spa again in the morning, this time round, in the hotel itself. outdoor spa and scrub with rose petal bath. i feel like a billion bucks and had a taste of what it feels like to be queen. bought some local delights and flew back home, on SQ( love it) and watched beverly hills chihuahua! quite funny, not as bimbotic as i expected. i chatted with this Australian lady sitting next to me, and they actually stayed in Bali for 2 months! i wonder what did they do there! i thought 4-5 days will do the trick.
anyhoos, pictures!
going with 13 other members of families and friends was quite an experience, and the adults were the one who were the fun makers of the group. this trip to bali makes me realise, bali was pretty overrated. it was fun guaranteed, but i wouldn't call it paradise on earth.
oh well, if this trip has taught me anything, it's not to nitpick the differences, no matter how starking different they are. i'll love to go back there, unguided, and with friends.
